What I like about CNY

Well? what's there not to like?

Sleeping and waking up late on the eve and first day... watching tv and eating snacks/ mandarin oranges... collecting ang baos.. seeing cousins and relatives who I really seldom meet up with.... not having to worry about school at all. Cheesy but jovial tv programmes and songs... the sounds of mahjong that mimicks that of the fire crackers, speaking of which were really kinda short but were quickly covered up by the sounds of the fireworks at the point of count down. Recession recession...

Well, once again, a very happy chinese ox year to you guys out there!!

I din particular like or dislike this year's river ang bao. Just preferred previous years' one that were located at the war memorial area near Padang across Esplanade. With carnival rides and bumper cars, with the crowd squeezing... this year's one on the floating platform was just kind of... sparse. Anyhow, have a Good and Joyous and Healthy Chinese New Year! Watch your waist lines!!

When can I do my work?

I have my work to finish by tonight hopefully and as I was starting on it...

Mum: come help me lay the bed sheets!

10 mins later as I was just getting along...

Mum: Come eat Yu Sheng!!!

And eat I went.. followed by really getting down into the mood of writing and..

Sis: Can u come down to lobby and help me carry some things up?

What I do online...

I visit my pet in Pet Society...

I see it asking for food..

Bring it go shopping for food.

Feed it with what it wants to eat..

And make it run for its life to earn me coins to buy it stuff in return.



Now you know what I spend my time doing online.

When people are making resolutions...

5...4...3...2...1....



2008 had been a blast!!! (with some miraculous hindsight gained over a night of blasting music and throbbing headache from some drinks).

Till now, I woke up and felt hungry. Had to tidy up my table and one thing to do was to clear my calendar of 08 which was standing tall on my table. Picked it up, looked at all the small notes written on it and felt a little nostalgia brewing within. (actually I only started making notes on it in May and since then, became a habit to start planning and organising my life)

Glad to say that this late-groomed habit stuck with me and till now, it guides me over to a new year. When all out there are thinking of what to accomplish this year, I, on the other hand, recollects pieces of memory from the past months and days. Emo perhaps, but I guess we can't always just move forward without sparing a thought for that which has been left behind (whether by force or by chance).

Anyway, a beautiful sight greeted me as I opened my eyes at say... 11.42am?

Have a Happy Brand New 2009. Time to google for some 'breakfast'.
